HI guys!! My name is Kyra, and it is currently the last week of my first semester here at SIUE. I am currently studying nursing here. So far, I have enjoyed every moment here at siue, through the ups and downs so far, the people I have met even through just this program has been a blessing. Absorbing the intricacies of CODES and immersing myself in the institution’s ethos is molding me into a formidable young adult. I have already learned so much and I am excited to see what my future holds here.
In the upcoming semesters, my goal is to further develop my skills as a discerning reader and proficient writer.
One of my greatest accomplishments and one of my personal favorites was our Black Lives Matter map project. This was one of my favorites because me and my group really had time to take a deep dive and research more about this topic in the surrounding city of Saint Louis and how it truly affects us as students close to Saint Louis.
It is currently our last week of our spring 2024 semester. Some things have changed since the last week of our fall semester. I am now a student athlete and am a walk on, on the women’s basketball team. I have been met with a lot of challenges these past few weeks, but we just got to keep pushing! I start the nursing program next spring and I am so excited. This past semester we have worked a lot on data sets, cleaning data, archival methods, visualizing data, and arguing with data. Here are some things we did this past semester:
Our final project for this class was to do a data visualization project. Here is the link below.
