We have officially completed two visits to the garden now. Me and my research team have done many things to formulate our implementation plan. We started off with four ideas and after looking at some of the garden’s recourses we decided that “a scavenger hunt” would be the best option for us. At first, I was a little worried about our final plan, because I thought it may be too big of an idea, and though I am still having some concerns I have confidence that the garden will help guide our implementation plan. I think us and the garden both are becoming more comfortable with each other. I think I was nervous before presenting because of the unknowns we still have about our plan because it is not 100% done and ready obviously, we are still in the prepping phase. I think we are doing well in being open-minded and willing to make changes as necessary to our plan. One thing me and my team as a whole can do better is to work on our collaboration, instead of it just being one person’s ideas, formulating changes that way everyone’s opinions are heard. In the beginning we had a plan but ended up changes that plan because some people didn’t like it, which is fine, but I want to make sure everyone’s ideas are coming to light. So, one thing I think we can all work on is collaboration. It gave me a lot of confidence when Sean had lots of positive feedback to us, and he seemed very excited about our plan. With what Sean and some of our fellow class members comments I am feeling a lot more confident in our plan. One thing that Sean told my group is that he was “glad to see us thinking about accessibility to people in the garden”, that was something that is important for us because we wanted for people who cannot for some reason visit the garden to still be apart. One main concern I still have is that our idea might be too big to take on in just the short amount of time that we have, but I am hopeful that Sean and other garden partners will be able to help us and guide our plan. I am hopeful we will have a clear set in stone plan soon
