CODES Research Team III

The third research team helped me and my group solidify the project that we will continue working on with NGRREC, as well and providing us the opportunity to do some hand-on research, and building of practical skills.

Some of the skills we learn this semester included:

• Presentation
• Interviewing
• IRB Training
• Survey creation
• Team collaboration
• Illinois science curriculum and pedagogy

With the final research team class culminated, me and my partners in the NGRREC research team are confident with our choices to work in conservation, and further develop NGRREC’s stream discover program, which is aimed to introduce 5-12 students to stream health and sampling techniques, as well as building scientific research skills.
