In Fall of 2025, I was part of a research team exploring the pedagogical uses of comics in second language learning. The focus languages are Spanish and English.

As a part of this project, I reviewed previous academic publications on the topic, studied different types of comics in English and Spanish, complete evaluative reviews of these comics and their potential for adoption in a language classroom, piloted the use of comics by tutoring language students in our programs, and collected and summarized findings.
