This is the page for my international studies senior project, “Earth as Law: Tracking the Transnational Indigenous Movements for Land Personhood.” The goal of this research is to conduct a cross-comparative study of movements by indigenous peoples across the world — spanning the United States, Latin America, India, and Oceania — to gain a deeper understanding of the fight for legal personhood of native lands and indigenous stewardship and conservation. This research exists at the interdisciplinary crossroads of history, political science, sociology, religious studies, and environmental studies. The “Think globally, act locally” mindset is the center of the indigenous rights movement across all stages of government.
