I believe the classroom should be a transformative space where every student’s identity, language, and lived experience are recognized as assets. Grounded in inclusive, multilingual, and culturally responsive pedagogy, I design instruction that celebrates diversity and invites students to see themselves reflected in the curriculum.
As a history and social sciences educator, I aim to cultivate critical thinking, global citizenship, and personal agency. I guide students through collaborative, inquiry-driven learning that connects past and present, highlights marginalized voices, and encourages them to question whose stories are told and why. My classroom blends lectures, discussions, and student-led projects, offering multiple pathways for students to engage and demonstrate understanding.
I center student voice and growth, valuing progress over perfection and offering choices in how students learn and show what they know. By integrating multicultural perspectives and case studies of resistance and social change, I help students understand power, community, and the possibilities of collective action.
Ultimately, my goal is to empower students to take ownership of their learning and to see themselves as compassionate, active participants in building a more just world.
