The drivers are the donators, the community along with the people who pay to come into the garden, and the workers of the garden itself. From what we can assume the donators and the board /president would be primary drivers. As we can assume that their main interest for the garden is to see it thrive. The values of the donators are to share their wealth and the values of the board/ president are to get as much money as possible to support the garden. Some secondary holders are visitors from other states, possible ancestors of Shaw, and enslaved people who don’t have any representation. The interest of the visitors is likely that they want to have a good time at the garden. We can assume the ancestor’s interest is just to be represented. The value of the visitors is to enjoy nature and the ancestors want the truth to be accurate, which would lead to a long-time impact. The resources of the visitors is money and the ancestor’s resources are the stories and the knowledge that they would be able to share. The key drivers are the people who work for or work with the garden. Their interest is to provide a good experience and share information. Their values are to spread the knowledge that they have with anyone who comes to the garden. Their resources are time, money, and the knowledge they have.
The casual chain analysis that can be ordered is the driver and the stakeholders of this issue. As we know that the way to figure the information would go in order. We know the stakeholders are the audience that wants to know more about this topic. The admissions that allow people to see the garden and what is inside. Also, the donators who give large amounts of money to the garden. As the stakeholders themselves are a key driving force for this project. The way we can make connections is based on what previous knowledge on this topic. How us the students of codes are finding ways to get this information known and help the garden find a way to successfully implement it. We know the connection between the students and the workers of the garden is that they tell us important information we need to know. Which helps push us in the correct direction to find a proper solution to this problem. The connection between the donators and the garden is that they are the people that give money to the garden to support it. But we have been told that donators tend not to know everything about the garden when they donate. So, we have to find ways to educate them on the topic in order to not upset them. The connection between the volunteers of the garden and the workers who implement the information. They are people who actively search for important information about the history of the city and the history of the garden. If there weren’t any volunteers, there would likely be a large gap in information not known. So, the connections between everyone is that it goes in order of knowledge. Donators and people who pay admission to come to the garden, CODES students, Volunteers, and the workers of the garden. We can make this assumption all based on knowledge that we have gained from the workers themselves. As they told us, the reason why they hadn’t started the journey, for the solution quicker, is because they wanted to make sure that it wouldn’t upset anyone. But also, that they wanted to do it sooner there just wasn’t the right time to properly do it. So, the connections are there, it’s just a matter of finding the solution and getting the proper information in the garden so everyone who visits and pays to enjoy the garden knows the full history behind it.
The current stake holders are our audience, admissions, and donators. We know this because we were told directly by people who work at the gardens. The reason they have not gotten farther with the information that is known about the enslaved people that Heny Shaw had. It is because they do not want to upset the people coming to the garden and the donators. Which is understandable since they are the people who pay money to support of enjoy the garden. Our audience is a stakeholder due to our audience wanting to know more about the gardens and the history of it. Admissions are a stakeholder because it is one of the ways to make money and help make the garden better. Donators are big stakeholders that make up a large amount of the money. Which also makes a significant impact on what history is shown at the garden. The people who work in the garden do not want to upset their donators in fear that they might lose money. So, it is important for the garden to make sure that everyone is happy, so they do not lose money while in the process of correcting the mistake of not showing the full history of the garden. As not just the US knows about the garden but the whole world, which helps bring the knowledge of the garden further than what some might think.
