Introduction
Year 2 sem 1 part 1: This semseter already feels like it is flying by, it’s already october which is wild. But I think I am doing pretty well so far even if there is a bunch of stress about everything. We are half way through and have gotten so much done in that time. I’d say that the assignments are going well for the most part. Something I need to work on is making sure I properly understand everything.
Year 2 sem 1 part 2: I can’t believe this semester ends in a few days. Since it feels like we just started this class along with CODES. But I think that even after everything we have done in this class that it is coming to a good end. With the slides being over I am happy to not worry about the project anymore. I have no clue at the moment what exactly I need to work on, as I think this semester was decently successful.
Goal 1 (25%)
(25%) Based on (4) Global Learning c. Applies knowledge and skills to implement sophisticated, workable solutions to address complex global problems using interdisciplinary perspectives.
This shows my ability to reflect on things I have read and also my ability to show my knowledge about topics that I have prevously learned about. Also presenting my interest and explaining why I numbered my interest in that way.
This shows how I am able to reflect on the process of scientific research as it is a very difficult process and there were mutliple and sudden issues that popped up. That were then fixed to fit our project so we were able to successfully complete the project and summarize the experience and reflect on it.
Goal 2 (25%)
(25%) Based on (5) Information Literacy b. Accesses information using effective, well-designed search strategies and appropriate sources.
This shows my ability to make a question, and gather resources I can review and write about to help my research. It also shows my ability to collaberate with another person to successfully start a project.
This shows how I am able to find sources related to a question and compare them to similar sources to make a project/slides with them. It also shows how I am able to learn from these sources and provide explanations about them in connection to my question.
Goal 3 (25%)
(25%) Based on (9) Problem-Solving Skills b. Identifies and evaluate multiple approaches for solving problems.
This shows that what I am able to get a somewhat decent grade for my exam and study enough for the grade I contracted myself for. there will be more pictures when I get my exam back.
This shows that I am able to get a decent grade while also being able to apply what I have learned to a big test. While also being able to do extra work to get a better grade than what I originally got. Showing that I attended classes and took something away from the leactures I attended. As I have not taken the final exam there is nothing to fully comepare this grade to.
Goal 4 (25%)
(25%) Based on (10) Quantitative Literacy a. Skillfully represents quantitative information.
I have yet to fully work on the rest of the final product for the research project. I think it is going well so far but as of currently there isn’t anything to use as my evidence for my grade. It will be updated by the end of the semester but not yet.
This shows how I am able to collect data and sources, while also being able to apply them to an experiement. As with our data we were able to construct an experiement and make a graph based on it. As the project is now complete, I now have evidence for this portion of my eportfolio.
