My Goals
Your my goals page should include the following subsections:
Major: Applied Communication Corporate/ Organizational
Quad City Foundation, an organization that I volunteered for introduced me into communications. I found that a lot of outreach, fundraising and marketing is through communications!
Career interests:
Currently, I’m working a basketball internship for SIUE Athletics that allows me to see the behind-the-scenes of working for an organization. I could myself work in the marketing or communications office hoping to bring in more fans and create fun media timeouts. However, I’m still interested in working for a non-profit that genuinely cares about the success of the community.
Courses Completed:
Statistics- Working under pressure and being consistent was something I had to learn. With that I had to work outside of class to study math, this was something I had never done before.
Interpersonal Communication- Building relationships and learning professional etiquette was something that I gained from this class.
Black Literature- Literature that has motivated African-Americans throughout the years.
Research Team 1- Analyzing sources from recent media to books. Also how to define wicked problems.
Transdisciplinary Communication- Creating a digital map was one the most challenging things I’ve learned, but I felt great once I learned how to navigate it.
Next semester I have enrolled in Macroeconomics. I’m super nervous because I heard this was a hard class.
