Hey! My name is Troy Shaffer, I have lived in the Edwardsville area my entire life. I have moved around a little bit, now living in Wood River and Granite City. I have lived in O’Fallon, Glen Carbon, and Edwardsville as well.
I am a very music oriented person. It gets me through the day and I will have music playing every chance I get. With that, I like to collect records and CDs (also the occasional cassette). Some other hobbies I participate in is hiking, volleyball (for fun), and watching movies. I am the proud father of my cat Sheldon, he is 13 and the light of my life.
I am currently majoring in Secondary Education: English. I have always loved the idea of being a teacher, I want to be able to help people on the daily. I have always loved reading and writing so teaching English is something I am very excited about. With teaching, everyday is different, and that is an aspect of the job that I very much want.
This is me at a cat cafe, I would highly recommend.
