Dear Dr. Smith,
For the 2024 Spring Semester I am contracting for a B Grade in CODE123. I chose these 5 learning outcomes based on some skills I am already proficient at, as well as some that I want to work on and develop.
13c – Uses language to skillfully communicate with clarity and fluency – 25%
To me, this means to speak clearly and have a good flow with what I am trying to communicate, whether in my writings or speaking out loud. I would say that this is a skill that I am decent with, but I can improve on. I will demonstrate this through my reflections and during class discussions.
8a – Uses clear organizational patterns and is skillful at presenting content cohesively – 15%
To me, this is just being able to present with ease. Everything is organized and there is a clear theme to whatever I am presenting.
10a – Skillfully represents quantitative data – 15%
To skillfully represent quantitative data, I will use different assignments where we use data and create data visualizations.

13a – Demonstrates a thorough understanding of context, audience, and purpose – 20%
In my words, this means to understand the backgrounds and motivations of texts and readings. I will demonstrate this by trying to read in between the lines of our readings as well as doing research about the texts we read and the writers. This is something that I feel like I am decent with, but I also have room for improvement.
2c – Transforms ideas through synthesizing knowledge from multiple domains – 25%
To me, this means to use previous knowledge from other classes or readings and use it to help create new ideas. I feel like this is an outcome that I do and have been doing without even thinking even thinking about it. But to demonstrate this I plan use information that I have previously learned to help with new problems/assignments.
