Reflecting on our visits to MOBOT and our meeting with their partners, I gained valuable insights into how different approaches can enhance visitor experiences without losing our main focus as CODES which is making the real story known. Observing their methods and tools broadened my perspective on how we can improve our projects by analyzing the successes they’ve had with their strategies. When we were visiting the garden, I believe we as a sub research team had a good foundation as far as what we want to accomplish as a team. The idea of the QR code is the main thing we would want to get implemented for our project. Hearing everyone’s idea was good and QR codes seemed to be pretty popular across the board and us having similar projects as a group. I did love the feedback that we got from the people at the garden on what we have come up with so far this semester. It was a good idea as a class to hear everyone’s thoughts and opinions and to provide our classmates with positive feedback and also commend them on the things that they had in place that their group might use to get their project and message out there. I feel like me and Ale did a good job at presenting and speaking up for our particular team. I had no clue what we were doing because I had changed one of my social media contacts, so I did not know what we were really doing as a group until I got to the garden before we started presenting. I had a conversation with Ale and she broke everything down to me as far as what is going on and I was able to adjust pretty quickly and assist her in giving our short overview of our presentation. Overall, the semester with Research teams proved to me that teamwork is key and sometimes everyone is not going to be on their game and that’s when someone else in the team has to step in and guide that person or persons to try and understand what is going on so what way we can find a resolution point. We all bring in different ideas to the table from different backgrounds and when we lose one person, we lose the team because we operate as a unit. Our team really pulled through the semester despite the difficulties that might have taken place. I am really looking forward to next semester in our team working even harder together to get the final part of a project implemented but this is also the start of something that will leave behind a legacy when we graduate and beyond into our own lives.
