Major
I plan to major in Business Economics. I am especially interested in learning about our economy and why people make the choices they do when taking risks.
Career Interests
My uncle is a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones in the Orlando area. He first started off as a broker at Chase Bank for a while and then went to Charles Schwab, which is a Financial consultant institution. After he spent some time there at Schwab, a recession hit in the financial industry. My uncle fortunately was still at his job when this took place. He then wanted to branch out on his own and not work for anyone and having a set work schedule. Within a couple months he started his own tire rim selling business and it lasted for a couple of years. After him taking that break from the financial world he decided to use his Bachelor’s degree and open his own office outside of Orlando, FL. This inspired me to go into business economics and that anything you set your mind to is possible. In order to do this work, active listening and teamwork is critical. I want to use my work in the research team to really listen to other people from all different backgrounds and experiences so that I can push forward into the business world.
