Hi, my name is Laylah Leech. I was born in Columbus Mississippi, but I was raised in East St. Louis IL. My plans for SIUE are to grow as an individual, develop various of lifelong skills, make connections and many more things that’ll help me become a better version of myself.
During my time at SIUE I will be majoring in Public Health. With this, I will be driving towards being an Dermatologist helping people feel comfortable in their skin/body, helping them fix some causes in their life that they’ve been struggling with and overall being about to help make a change within the community.
I will be graduating from SIUE with my Bachelors degree in 2028. As I continue to strive for success I will also make sure to fit time in my schedule to maintain my mental health because it is very important. During my alone time I like to focus on doing my self care practices, read my Bible and become closer to God, go on shopping sprees, giving to the community for my youth group (CEO), and creating silly content videos. Doing these things really make me feel good within myself because these things are things that I know makes me happy genuinely and brings peace to not only myself but others as well. When you’re treating others well you get that in return.
