Hi, my name is Laylah Leech. I was born in Columbus Mississippi, but I was raised in East St. Louis IL. My plans for SIUE are to grow as an individual, develop various of lifelong skills, make connections and many more things that’ll help me become a better version of myself. I want to become a real estate agent and as I work towards getting my real estate license, I’ll be majoring in Finance and Mass Communications. Majoring in Finance will help me get a better understanding with the Business side of my career and helping manage money. While Mass communication will help me help others to achieve their goals in a similar way that I have by communicating and using different forms of media and eBooks to explain things step by step on how to reach these goals. I will be graduating from SIUE with my Bachelors degree in 2028. As I continue to get my work done and stay dedicated to reaching my goals, I always fit time in my schedule by doing my favorite hobbies. Some of those are drawing, listening to music, taking pictures, doing Pilates workouts, shopping, hanging with friends, etc. Doing these things help me to keep myself on the right track while fitting time in my schedule to have some “me time”. And of course there will be challenges in life, like procrastination, wanting to give up because things can get hard, self doubt, negative thoughts and more but keeping a positive mindset and surrounding myself around people who’ll help me become the better version of myself is what I need.
