My name is Sonia Sheryr, and I have stayed in Edwardsville my entire life. I have a younger sister named Rania, who is 4 years younger than me. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies and shows with my friends, shopping, and playing games with my sister. I like to paint and crochet, usually in the summer because that’s the only time of year when I have much free time. I love my friends and family because they always give me great advice and encourage me to do my best. I enjoy going on vacations because I always value the experience of being in a different setting. I don’t like waking up early, regardless of how early or late I slept the night before.
My goals for freshman year are to get excellent grades and find a perfect balance between studying and hanging out with my friends. My strengths are having a great work ethic, prioritizing tasks, staying organized, and being determined to do my best. In addition, I remain optimistic and calm when navigating through challenging situations. My career interests are in the medical field, specifically cardiothoracic (heart) surgery. My family also encouraged me to get interested in the medical field. My strengths match my career interests because I want to help others the best way I can make a positive difference, and have the stamina for this career. The medical field has been a dream and goal of mine ever since I started middle school.
I will always do my best in school and never give up on my dreams. I have always given my peers positive advice and encouraged them to excel. I will strive to succeed in life, continue working hard, and achieve my goals.
