Reflection #5

Posted on May 5, 2026May 5, 2026 by zmedina

It is hard to believe that it is already done, that the idea, which struck me as a freshman, evolved to become an idea which made me grow as a person. There were times that I felt this project was never going to be finished, with many late nights and multiple revisions which had to be done to meet my personal criteria for success. But, in any case, at the end of the day, it is satisfying and rewarding knowing you accomplished your objective. It is more than completing another task; it is about how much I have grown since then.

The lessons I gained from this particular semester include teamwork. As earlier mentioned, before taking up this course, I always preferred doing everything on my own whenever there was any group work because I felt that it would be easier. But this time round, from this particular assignment, I have been able to understand that although it may seem hard at times, working together always results in the production of better and creative work. This is because I have learnt how to effectively work in a team.

As a result of this, I have realized the importance of working collaboratively as a team. Every individual had unique strengths and skills which contributed towards making the final product better than any of us would have achieved individually. Despite the fact that there were challenges in the way of completing this task, it formed an important part of our learning experience. In addition to marking the completion of a long journey, it also marks the start of a new journey.
