First-Week Introduction
The goals that I have chosen are those that I believe will help me enhance my skills and become a better student during the semester. They include gaining cultural knowledge, developing the ability to find reliable sources of information, increasing my critical thinking skills, understanding the meaning of numbers and data, and learning beyond classroom boundaries. I believe that by achieving these goals, I will not only succeed in my academic work but also in my everyday activities. I consider the research project to be the most interesting assignment because I will be able to learn about a topic that is interesting to me. I think that the final paper will be the most difficult task because I will have to collect all the necessary research, information, and data to support my arguments. To have a successful semester, I would like to stay organized, do my assignments on time, take notes, get help whenever needed, and not procrastinate.
Midterm Introduction
In the first half of the term, I believe that I am moving forward with my goals. I have had the experience of studying various perspectives and conducting research which has helped me get deeper insight into many subjects. I believe that I have developed the most in the areas of Global Learning and Lifelong Learning since I have gained confidence in investigating various concepts and conducting my research. Sometimes, however, I find it difficult to comprehend data and locate credible sources. In the second half of the term, I would like to concentrate on the Information Literacy and Quantitative Literacy areas by analyzing sources, asking questions and spending more time comprehending data. It is also important to work on my problem-solving skills by looking for several possible solutions.
