First-Week Introduction

Hello! Its Justin! This is my Class Portfolio for my Code-123 Class! One thing I feel I have excelled at is learning how to contribute in class dicussions and knowing what I have to say. One thing I feel I have struggled with so far is collecting evidence for my portfolio, and also making friends, But I truly hope i have done a good enough job to recive the effort grade I desire!

Midterm Introduction

One thing I most enjoyed was for the most part, the positive energy in the class, It was one of the only classes I subtley enjoyed, and that was expecially needed for me, as things arent exactly the best in my 122 Class and college in genral, I just needed a positive pick me up and thats what this class brings. One thing I strugglewith is trying to make friends and interact with people in the class. One thing i feel I have somewhat acceled at was to get the effort grade I desired, I have no missing/late assignments and I participate in class. One thing i hope to get better in class is to collect sources.

Final Introduction

[Now that the semester is over, use your introduction to reflect in-depth on your process. How well did you meet the goals you set out to meet? What did you learn that surprised you? Focusing on your goals for this class, what do you want to remember to take with you into your future courses? What strategies can you use to continue developing toward these goals?]

Course Goals

Choose five goals from the CODES Student Learning Outcomes that you’d like to work toward. Choose goals that are relevant to the scope of this course, select artifacts/examples based on activities assigned for this course, and explain characteristics in a way that illustrates how your artifacts/examples demonstrate your progress toward the goal.

Goal 1 (20%)
Based on (11A from CODES Student Learning Outcomes): This goal is described as using Texts and sources in other contexts, not confined to that specific project.

What will you do to learn the content/ develop the skill? What examples will you add to the portfolio to demonstrate your learning? What characteristics of the chosen examples demonstrate you have met your goal?
Using pieces from my older assignments as possible references in new assignmentsArticle Annotations and Top 5Being able to connect readings and their purposes to other readings

One way I feel I achieved the goal of using texts and sources in other contexts, not confined to that specific project, is the Top 5 assignments for using the given article and connecting it to our given lesson.

Same could be said for the Article Annotations

Goal 2 (20%)
Based on (2C from CODES Student Learning Outcomes): This goal is in my own words transforming and bringing together concepts from multiple sources.

What will you do to learn the content/ develop the skill? What examples will you add to the portfolio to demonstrate your learning? What characteristics of the chosen examples demonstrate you have met your goal?
Using and finding multiple sources for a given topic at handReflections and Final ProjectMentioning the multiple sources in the reflection/Consistently mentioning the source

One way I feel I achieved the goal of transforming and bringing together concepts from multiple sources, are the Reflections.

I would have turned in the rest of the reflections, but I was unable to find them in the place I turned them in previously. I think the professor still has access to them though.

As for the final project, It has yet to pass, so I will bring It when it is done

Goal 3 (20%)
Based on (10C from CODES Student Learning Outcomes): This goal is basically using Quantitative Data to explain a problem.

What will you do to learn the content/ develop the skill? What examples will you add to the portfolio to demonstrate your learning? What characteristics of the chosen examples demonstrate you have met your goal?
Delving deeper into Quantitative Data, like looking into the numbers and statsSurveys, Data Set Review,Final Project,Survey created in reasearch TeamAccurately laying out the data in an understandable data

One way I feel I achieved the goal of using Quantitative Data to explain a problem is through the Surveys, particularly the survey created in the research team

Unfortunately, this is the only source I currently have access to as for some reason I can’t go back to retrieve the files of the assignments I turned in where turned them in on Blackboard.

Goal 4 (20%)
Based on (8C from CODES Student Learning Outcomes): This goal is represented by developing clear, innovative central messages with significant supporting materials.

What will you do to learn the content/ develop the skill? What examples will you add to the portfolio to demonstrate your learning? What characteristics of the chosen examples demonstrate you have met your goal?
Give an integral theme to all my papers, particularly my ReflectionsReflections/Final ProjectsA clear broken up themes in the reflections such as an Introduction, and conclusions

One way I feel I achieved the goal of developing clear, innovative central messages with significant supporting materials is through the reflections.

I would have turned in the rest of the reflections, but I was unable to find them in the place I turned them in previously. I think the professor still has access to them though.

As for the final project, It has yet to pass, so I will bring It when it is done.

Goal 5 (20%)
Based on (3C from CODES Student Learning Outcomes): This goal is learning how to apply ethical concepts to a question and considers how they fit into a particular problem.

What will you do to learn the content/ develop the skill? What examples will you add to the portfolio to demonstrate your learning? What characteristics of the chosen examples demonstrate you have met your goal?
Delve into topics related to Ethical issues Citi Training/Plagiarism/Article Annotation/NotesA deeper undetranding of ethics and an ability to use them in real life

One way I feel I achieved the goal is to apply ethical concepts to a question and consider how they fit into a particular problem, is through the article annotations!

Unfortunately, this is the only source I currently have access to as for some reason I can’t go back to retrieve the files of the assignments I turned in where turned them in on Blackboard.
